Our Tayside region has funded five Coronavirus research projects
Tenovus Scotland Tayside region has been able to support five exciting research projects, aimed at helping to understand the impact of coronavirus infection thanks to generous support from the Northwood Trust, which provided 50% of the total cost of £97,000. The studies, which were all approved by the National Scientific Advisory Committee, are all based in the University of Dundee or Ninewells Hospital and Medical School.
Professor John Connell, Chair of the Tayside Regional Committee, said that it was particularly encouraging to be able to support research proposals which had been prepared rapidly in response to the COVID crisis, and hoped that the work might make a real difference to our understanding of this devastating health challenge.
