At the Opening Nights of its 2017:18 Season, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, under the baton of its Music Director, Peter Oundjian, will be joined by world-renowned Scottish violinist Nicola Benedetti in a performance of Elgar’s Violin Concerto. This passionate and highly personal work will feature alongside Stravinsky’s massive The Rite of Spring and Gavin Higgins dramatic yet witty work Velocity, inspired by The Rite of Spring and receiving its Scottish premiere.
