Our first Friends of Tenovus Scotland event of 2026 was a visit to University of Strathclyde to hear about the work of three of our funded researchers, followed by a lovely meal at Drygate Co.
Thank you to our speakers Dr Kimia Witte, Dr Daniel Larcombe and Dr Melanie Jimenez who showcased their research. This ranged from blood-brain barrier models to novel antifungal agents to new platforms for detecting cardiac biomarkers. All of which were very inspiring talks and demonstrated how Tenovus Scotland pilot funding can help turn an idea into life-changing research.
It was great to catch up with Dr Alexandra Dobrea, our previous Friends Administrator, who kindly helped to organise the venue for the event.
